Case Study - Fuller’s Summer ‘Nautical Party’ Event

The brief

Fuller’s approached us to organise a summer event for their team following their annual meeting announcement.

The occasion also marked significant birthdays for five directors, with one turning 40, two turning 50, and two turning 60! They titled the event the “Nautical Party” as a playful nod to these milestone celebrations.

What we did

Following confirmation with our Client Relationship Team, the event planning was headed up by Eliza (Senior Event Planner).

The package included a Pimm’s and Prosecco reception, street food, a live DJ, garden games, and a photographer - creating a relaxed summer atmosphere.

The client wished to incorporate a speech from their Chairman, who was due to retire, so we ensured a microphone was available and built this into the schedule to allow for a fitting send-off.

They also wanted to include an additional dessert option, so we suggested brownies and mini cupcakes, which we branded to tie in with the event theme.

Within the décor, the client requested additional outdoor lighting while maintaining a summery feel. We opted for tiki torches, which complemented the nautical theme and enhanced the atmosphere as the evening progressed.

We also created a bespoke welcome board and invitation to align with their “Nautical Party” concept.

The result

The staff present on the day were Ellie (Event Manager), Phoebe (Assistant Event Manager), and Elijah, Estelle and Jethro (Catering Assistants).

The event ran extremely smoothly and created a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere for the team. Guests enjoyed seeing London from the river, many for the first time from that perspective, and the food, music and entertainment were all very well received.

The client was delighted with the outcome, and the event proved a memorable way to celebrate both the company's milestones and their Chairman’s retirement.
