Hellmann’s approached us to host a promotional event for the launch of their ketchup product, designed for industrial use.
The event needed to showcase the product in a creative and memorable way, while also providing a strong platform for their team to carry out effective networking and content creation, whilst boosting brand exposure.
Following initial communications with Elizabeth (Client Relationship Coordinator), the event was handed over to our Event Planning Team, headed up by Eliza (Senior Event Planner).
The client wanted to incorporate their product as much as possible throughout the event, particularly within the dining experience. To achieve this, we worked closely with guest chef Tom Bateman to create a bespoke fine-dining menu that featured ketchup creatively across multiple courses.
We also tailored the reception drinks, opting for a Bloody Mary to introduce the tomato element from the very beginning of the event and tie into the overall theme.
As networking was a key objective, the client wanted entertainment that could move freely among guests. We suggested a saxophonist, which worked very well on the day and helped to create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
We collaborated with Omne to ensure the vessel was fully branded throughout. This included vinyl banners, a bespoke backdrop banner, a vessel flag, red tablecloths, red floral arrangements, branded staff aprons, branded place cards, menus, and branded cushions. All elements were carefully considered to align with the product and brand identity.
To support the promotional aspect of the event, we tailored the cruise route so that the client’s photographer, positioned at key bridge locations, could capture the required content.
As content creation was a major focus, we also made special arrangements for attending creators to ensure they could capture the footage they needed. This included hosting well-known creators such as SpudBros, who produced and shared content from the event across their social media platforms.
The schedule for the day was carefully structured to ensure a natural flow between the fine-dining service, filming opportunities, entertainment, and speeches, allowing each element to unfold seamlessly.
The team on the day consisted of Eliza (Senior Event Planner), Ellie (Event Manager), Phoebe (Assistant Event Manager), and Paris, Albertino, and Amilcar (Catering Assistants).
The event ran very smoothly and successfully delivered a unique and engaging product launch. We were delighted with how effective the promotional event was, thanks to the superb combination of branding, tailored catering, entertainment, and content creation on display.
The client was also very happy with the outcome, and the event fully achieved its objectives.
We received this fantastic email from the client: "I just wanted to drop you and the team a message to say a huge thank you for yesterday! The client was happy, and their customers had a great time."
The client also left this wonderful Google review online: "I worked with Eliza at West End on the Thames to host a private event on the Thames and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything ran so smoothly, and the attention to detail was amazing. Eliza was such a pleasure to work with! She's super organised, friendly and was always quick to help with any questions. Would highly recommend!"
