Case Study - Step Ahead team meeting and briefing

The brief

To host a company briefing with refreshments following a specific meeting schedule. This will then be followed by a social gathering for the staff to celebrate the new year.

What we did

Step Ahead is a repeat client of ours, who previously held a Christmas event with us. They reached out again looking for a venue to hold their company briefing to start off the new year. The planning team worked well to ensure that they had all the necessary equipment for their morning meeting, which would then be followed by a staff social. 

The team also recommended that they include some additional hours on the vessel to ensure they had the full time to host the briefing as well as enough time for the guests to enjoy the views of the Thames.

They had a rigid meeting schedule which needed to be followed, which included a presentation on a TV that we provided, some activities for the guests to do related to the briefing, as well as a tea and coffee break. The planning team ensured that this was implemented and was clearly detailed in both the client’s and the event staff’s briefs.

The client wanted refreshments throughout the meeting as well, so we decided to set up a tea and coffee station which was a great addition to the briefing. We also included a breakfast canape for the guests to enjoy with their soft drink reception.

They then wanted to transition into a three course seated lunch followed by an afternoon social, including a magician, DJ, and karaoke.

The result

Overall the event went really well and we received great feedback from the client. The meeting went well and followed the schedule that was provided.

There was a smooth transition between the formal morning briefing and the social that followed.

The guests really enjoyed the food and entertainment and once again had a successful event.
