Case Study - Virgin Atlantic Cargo Client Event

The brief

Virgin Atlantic spoke with our team, explaining that they wanted us to create an annual celebration to thank a number of clients for their business. The event would also double up as the company’s 40th birthday celebration. We were tasked with hosting their first event on the river, which would encourage their guests to network.

What we did

During the initial enquiry stage, our team put forward a package that included a summer barbecue, reception drinks, and background music. We then had a bit of back-and-forth with the client, who wanted to add some extras to their event, including bunting, a boat flag, an unlimited drinks package, and a DJ. 

The event was then handed over to our Planning Team, who included some more subtle branding to the event, which incorporated their brand colours in the form of some floral centrepieces on the tables.

The client expressed an interest in displaying content during the event, so we recommended adding a TV screen to showcase images throughout, allowing guests to casually view them in the background.

As many guests were travelling from abroad, we also provided river maps for those who hadn't had the chance to experience London from the water. This not only enhanced the guest experience but also encouraged conversation and supported the networking goals outlined in the client's brief.

The result

The event was managed by our Senior Event Planner, Eliza, and our Event Coordinator Phoebe. They were assisted on the day by our Head Catering Assistant, Elijah, and Jethro, our Catering Assistant.

On the day, guests had the opportunity to network while also enjoying the event's celebration, garden games, and music from the DJ. The event was a real success, and we had lots of compliments from guests during and after the event.
