Working during the pandemic

As the 19th of July approaches, all of us here at West End on the Thames are excited to resume running events and finally meeting clients in person again. It has been a long pandemic — and we can certainly say none of us expected it — but it gave us an opportunity to reevaluate and optimise the way we do business.

Two years before the pandemic, West End on the Thames changed our systems to allow our staff to work in the manner that best suited their project — whether that meant they were in the office or working remotely.  When we received the stay at home order, we were able to apply this approach more broadly.

Workplace by Facebook allowed us to directly message each other with questions, post on each other’s walls with jobs that were less urgent, and overall collaborate in order to provide the best service possible to our clients. As we have been expanding upon our existing strategies rather than starting from scratch, we have been able to refine our approach and go from strength to strength.

The pandemic has been a struggle for everyone in so many different ways, but we're proud of how we have managed. We spent a lot of last year working with reduced staff, but are excited now to be getting back with our full team.

Through all of our hard work, we have found that the office is not just a physical space. By keeping our sense of community strong, we have been well-prepared to meet the needs of our clients and plan unique, unforgettable experiences. As we continue to move forward, we are excited to adjust as we return to some of our pre-pandemic offerings with a new sense of our accomplishments and abilities. We are ready to be adaptable and creative, using everything we have learnt to ensure that we always offer a high quality service.

We will continue to keep track of new guidelines so events can meet requirements and stay safe at no extra stress to the client. We can’t wait to welcome all of our clients who will finally be able to enjoy their postponed events as well as entirely new ones.

All in all, West End on the Thames is proud of how we’ve been able to grow and innovate over the course of the pandemic, and we are excited for everything we will be able to do for our clients in the future.

We hope to welcome you aboard as soon as we can.
